Environmentally Friendly Internet and Phone Service?

| November 7, 2010

The other day as I was wandering around the internet and I came across Earthtones.com.

Earth Tones offers wireless phone service, long distance phone service and internet access.  The real kicker with Earth Tones is that they donate 100% of their profits to organizations that help to make the environment better.

Earth Tones Wireless Service

They offer a small variety of phones (probably recycled).  The phones don’t have all of the bells and whistles of a Droid, iPhone or Blackberry, but they are functional.  Currently they’re offering Motorola and Nokia phones.

There is a possibility that you can use your own phone on their service.  If not, send them your old phone for recycling (they provide free shipping labels) and get one of their phones.

Check them Out

Instead of rehashing everything that’s on their website, take a look yourself. If you’re in the market for a new phone, long distance and/or internet access (dial-up), check them out.  And, if you do sign up with them, use their green billing service (no sense in killing trees just to receive a bill).
